Babe
Weigent Youth Fishing Derby
On June 18th, 2008 the La Crosse
Bassmasters once again handled the weigh-in for the Babe Weigent Kid's
Fishing Derby at Pettibone Park. A lot of bluegills, a bass, and a
crappie were brought to the scales and trophies were presented to first,
second, and third places in three different age groups. Every child
participating won a prize. Members helping out included Sean Horton, Rob
and Brandy Heilman, Tom and Nancy O'Neal, Mike Morley, and Tom Tischer.
The event was held by the City of La Crosse Park and Rec Department.
