Club Info

The La Crosse Bassmasters were founded in 1968 and like most clubs and organizations the membership roster varies in size from year-to-year. We've had as many as 42 members and as few as 15. Our goals are to learn, teach and add a degree of accountability to the sport of bass fishing. To the general public, bass fishermen as a whole are often looked at negatively. We go out of our way to display courtesy, understanding and genuine sportsmanship on and off the water. We maintain a high visibility in the community and we contribute financially to many worthwhile projects in the area.

Our roster contains a cross section of people from all walks of life - from Welders and Engineers and other specialized laborers, to police detectives and radio announcers and everything in between.

The La Crosse Bassmasters primary fund raising event is our annual Cabin Fever Banquet which features a prime rib dinner, over a hundred door prizes and raffle tables featuring everything from high end guns and bows to beautiful artwork and general merchandise geared toward the outdoorsman/woman. This event requires months of preparation and dedicated teamwork from our membership and has been a huge success in recent years.

Past and present members have played key roles in the Wisconsin Bass Federation and generally fair quite well in Zone 4 tournament events and State events and we've had several of our members represent Wisconsin on the 12-man state team. We take a lot of pride in our efforts, success and integrity...and nobody has more fun than we do!
